The terms that apply when you use The Algo Bench website, newsletter and content.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to thealgobench.com, its newsletter and related channels (“The Algo Bench”, “we”, “us”), operated by The Algo Bench, a proprietorship of Satish Nagda, Mumbai, India. By using The Algo Bench you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Nature of the service
The Algo Bench publishes educational research on systematic trading. It does not provide investment advice, research reports within the meaning of the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, trading signals, portfolio management or execution services. Our Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.
No adviser–client, fiduciary or other professional relationship is created by your use of the site, by subscribing to the newsletter, or by corresponding with us.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law to use The Algo Bench.
3. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on The Algo Bench, including text, tearsheets, charts, graphics, videos and the site design, is owned by us and protected by copyright.
You may:
- read, share links to, and quote short excerpts of our content with clear attribution and a link back;
- use code snippets published in posts in your own projects, unless a post says otherwise.
You may not:
- republish, resell or redistribute our articles, tearsheets or datasets in whole or substantial part;
- use our content to provide paid advisory, signal or tip services;
- present our content, or anything derived from it, as your own research or track record;
- scrape the site in bulk or use automated means that place an unreasonable load on it.
4. Paid products
If we offer paid products (for example courses, code packs or memberships), additional terms will be shown at the point of purchase and will apply to those products alongside these Terms.
5. Your conduct
When you contact us or take part in any community we run, you agree not to post anything unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringing, not to share trade tips or solicit others to follow trades, and not to impersonate anyone.
6. Third-party links and services
The site may link to third-party websites, brokers, data providers or tools. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
7. No warranties
The Algo Bench and all content, code and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss, including trading losses, lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of The Algo Bench, even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of any content, code or tool.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use The Algo Bench after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
